ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), a leading provider of technical evaluations and product certifications for the built environment, has announced it will serve as a Water Ambassador for the “Intelligent (use of) Water” initiative at MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2026, taking place March 24–27, 2026, at Fiera Milano in Rho, Italy. MCE features innovative global manufacturers showcasing their latest designs that improve water efficiency and use for commercial, residential and industrial markets.
As a Water Ambassador, ICC-ES will support and promote the Intelligent (use of) Water project and will sponsor the Water Prix contest at its booth during MCE 2026.
The Intelligent (use of) Water initiative spotlights solutions that enable smarter, more efficient, and more responsible water use across buildings and infrastructure — from fixtures and fittings to systems that support water quality, durability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
ICC-ES helps manufacturers, designers, and code officials navigate these needs through well-recognized services, including:
PMG (Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel Gas) Listings & plumbing-focused certifications that provide evidence that products meet applicable codes and technical standards
WaterSense-related certification support through ICC-ES PMG’s ANSI-accredited program, helping eligible products meet WaterSense requirements
Compliance pathways for drinking-water-related requirements to help consumers access safe drinking water
“Water efficiency and smart resource stewardship increasingly depend on credible evidence — clear test data, code alignment, and transparent evaluation,” said Dawn LaFleur-Qualley, vice president of PMG at ICC-ES. “As a Water Ambassador at MCE 2026, ICC-ES is proud to help advance the Intelligent (use of) Water initiative by connecting the industry to the certifications and evaluations that support confident approval and installation.”
ICC-ES will also participate in the Water Prix, a visitor competition tied to the Intelligent (use of) Water project that helps guide attendees to participating Water Ambassador stands. Prizes will be available daily and may be collected at the dedicated desk at the fair.
MCE attendees are invited to visit ICC-ES at Hall 10, E38 to learn how ICC-ES evaluation and certification services can support intelligent water use, from market-ready documentation and recognized marks of conformity.
