Watts Water Technologies will present an ASPE-accredited webinar, Solve Hot Water Control and Cross Flow Challenges, on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at noon ET, as part of its Watts Works Engineer Webinar Series for specifying and plumbing engineers.
The session will be led by Dave Desjardins, PE, CPD, business development manager for mixing–East at Watts. Desjardins will examine industry-leading hot water control technologies and practical strategies to help engineers avoid the costly and potentially dangerous impacts of improperly tempered water.
Attendees will earn 0.1 ASPE continuing education units (CEUs) while gaining insight into how to identify and solve hot water control and cross flow challenges, understand the limitations of traditional balancing methods, and evaluate advanced solutions for precise temperature control and IoT monitoring. The webinar will also address ways to improve reliability, efficiency and sustainability in plumbing system design.
Desjardins holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Norwich University and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a member of ASHRAE and ASPE and previously served as chair of ASHRAE Technical Committee 6.5: Radiant Heating and Cooling.
