As part of its second-quarter HSA Gives Back initiative, Herkowski Stickler & Associates (HSA) spent the day volunteering at Phil’s Friends – Addison Hope Center. Team members Brian Baxter, Mark Luczak, Lisa Pardue, Carley and Penny Rimdzius, Katie Goodman, and Jason Gerard rolled up their sleeves to color cards and care package boxes, pack essential items, and learn more about the nonprofit’s mission of hope and healing.
Phil’s Friends brings encouragement and comfort to those affected by cancer through hand-decorated care packages, heartfelt cards, and personal visits. Since 2006, the organization has supported over 33,000 recipients across the country with personal care items, cozy blankets, Bibles, and messages of faith—delivered directly to their homes and hospital rooms. Their ongoing “Cards of Hope” and “Hope to Hospital” programs help ensure no one faces cancer alone.
In addition to volunteering, HSA made a monetary donation to help Phil’s Friends continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families.
This event was part of HSA Gives Back, a company initiative launched in 2023 to give employees opportunities to serve the communities where they live and work. Through this program, HSA identifies local volunteer opportunities and, in some instances, invites manufacturers, customers, and industry partners to join in upcoming charitable efforts for an even greater collective impact.
