BLUE HAWK, a 100% member-owned, fully transparent, HVACR cooperative, held its 12th annual Winter Summit, Jan. 12-14 in the breathtaking landscape of Banff, Alberta. The three-day event offered a unique blend of productive business meetings and valuable networking while enjoying iconic Canadian winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing, and ice walking.
"The Winter Summit is not your typical business event," said BLUE HAWK CEO Lance Rantala. "It's a unique opportunity for both Members and Partners to build meaningful relationships in a setting that encourages collaboration, camaraderie, and teamwork."
Unlike the co-op's larger annual conference, which draws nearly 1,000 attendees and features a packed agenda, the Winter Summit prioritizes creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Attendees engaged in focused discussions and formed genuine connections while taking in the natural beauty of Banff.
"Wow, the Winter Summit was truly a standout event," said Ed Sanders of Sanders Supply. "The laid-back atmosphere allowed us to have important face-to-face conversations and build stronger partnerships while at the same time experiencing the beauty of Banff alongside fellow Members and Partners. It was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it."
As 2025 marks the International Year of Cooperatives and BLUE HAWK's 20th anniversary, this year's Winter Summit perfectly set the tone for continued growth, innovation, and shared achievements for many years to come.
