Jason Craig, the founder and owner of Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery, first launched Sierra Plumbing Supply in Grass Valley, California, in September 1994. His goal was simple: provide local homeowners and contractors with a convenient “stop-and-shop” experience, offering the plumbing products they needed without the inconvenience of navigating through big-box retailers.
With a growing vision and a passion for expansion, he took the next step in 2016 by opening Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery. Positioned as the go-to destination for kitchen and bathroom fixtures, the showroom quickly became a trusted resource for the Sacramento and Placer County areas. In 2018, we expanded from our original 1,800-square-foot showroom to a massive 7,700-square-foot showroom. The Granite Bay location also caters to homeowners, contractors, new home builders and investors.
Today, with three locations — Grass Valley, Granite Bay and, most recently, Folsom — Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery continues to fulfill Craig’s mission of being the premier retailer of plumbing supplies and fixtures. As a family-owned and -operated business, it stands out for its commitment to old-school customer service. Here, personal connections, handshakes and one-on-one interactions are at the heart of every customer experience.
Craig and his dedicated team work tirelessly to make Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery the ultimate destination for remodeling needs. Offering expert advice and exceptional service, they aim to be with you every step of the way, ensuring your projects are nothing short of successful.
2025 trends for bathroom spaces
Wellness remains a dominant trend in 2025, expanding into a diverse range of therapies designed to enhance physical and mental well-being. The wellness space now includes luxurious treatments such as steam rooms, hydrotherapy bathtubs, aromatherapy, light therapy and saunas — each offering unique benefits for relaxation and rejuvenation.
We’ve highlighted some standout options to consider when planning your next wellness-focused project.
• Therapy bathtubs
Hydrotherapy, offered through jetted, air or combination tubs, provides a powerful way to relax muscles, relieve joint pressure and alleviate pain from intense workouts or conditions like arthritis. These therapeutic baths can also integrate additional treatments, such as aromatherapy and chromotherapy, for a more personalized experience.
There are many companies to choose from, and we carry Bain Ultra, an innovator in this field, offering its signature Hydro-thermo massage — a fusion of air, water and heat therapies. This advanced technique uses a combination of natural products, including essential oils, algae, mud and bath salts, to target specific wellness goals. Strategically placed air jets create an acupressure effect, gently massaging your body from neck to toes.
This immersive experience delivers a range of health benefits, invigorating the skin and promoting overall well-being. Among all low-impact therapies, the Hydro-thermo massage stands out as the closest alternative to traditional massage, offering therapeutic relief and deep relaxation.
• Steam
Steam remains a cornerstone of the wellness trend, offering a multitude of benefits for both the body and mind. Regular steam therapy can improve skin health, relieve congestion, enhance circulation, reduce inflammation, ease stiff joints and arthritis, and lower stress levels — making it a valuable addition to any wellness space.
Beyond the basics, there are plenty of ways to elevate your steam experience. Optional upgrades such as aromatherapy, chromotherapy and digital controls offer a customized touch, while Bluetooth speakers and tablet functionality allow you to listen to music or audiobooks, or watch your favorite shows, turning your steam session into a fully immersive relaxation experience.
• Sauna
Saunas have been a staple of wellness for centuries, ingrained in cultures around the world — from Turkish baths and Native American sweat lodges to Russian Banyas. Finland, where saunas are a way of life, 2 million saunas are available for a population of only 5 million, highlighting their deep cultural significance.
Anyone who’s experienced a sauna knows it’s more than a place to sweat. As the heat increases, your heart rate rises, your skin becomes damp and it can feel as though you’re exercising without ever moving. Much like exercise, regular sauna use has been linked to numerous long-term health benefits. For most people, saunas are safe and offer a range of positive effects, including improved heart and mental health, deep relaxation and stress relief.
Research also points to additional benefits such as a lower risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s, relief for those suffering from asthma and COPD, detoxification by excreting heavy metals and toxins, fewer colds and viral illnesses, and enhanced sleep quality.
With all these remarkable health benefits, it’s no wonder that saunas continue to be a growing wellness trend in 2025 and beyond.
• Earthy, neutral color palettes
Choosing the right colors for your bathroom is essential to setting the mood and creating a relaxing, inviting space. The days of sterile, all-white bathrooms are behind us as designers embrace the warmth and depth of rich earth tones. In 2025, expect to see bathrooms adorned with earthy, neutral palettes — think soft beiges, terracotta and muted greens.
Shades like beige and taupe bring a sense of elegance and warmth, offering timeless versatility. When paired with natural materials like wood, stone, or metal, these tones create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
While greens remain popular, the trend is shifting toward softer, more serene shades such as sage and olive, moving away from the bold, vibrant hunter greens of the past. These earthy hues evoke a grounded, spa-like ambiance, transforming your bathroom into a tranquil retreat.
For those hesitant to commit to more pigmented colors, incorporating them into cabinetry, wallpaper or tile designs is an excellent way to introduce subtle pops of boldness while maintaining an overall calming aesthetic.
• Mixed-metal finishes
Many designers are moving away from perfectly matched finishes and embracing the charm of mixed-metal combinations. This trend is gaining momentum for its versatility, offering the flexibility to coordinate with various finishes, decor and future updates. In bathrooms, plumbing fixtures often stay in classic, timeless finishes like chrome or nickel, while trendier metals are used for hardware, light fixtures and mirrors.
The mixed-metal approach balances sophistication and ease, creating a curated yet relaxed atmosphere. It offers a less rigid, more dynamic aesthetic that can complement various styles.
Metals like matte black, brushed gold and satin nickel add a modern, masculine touch, while also providing contrast to the natural tones often found in bathroom textiles such as towels, shower curtains and floor mats. These finishes are highly adaptable, making them a great choice for spaces that need both style and functionality.
