When it comes to driving excellence and professionalism throughout the HVACR industry, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) does more than just set technical standards.
This week, ACCA President and CEO Bart James, along with executive committee board members Martin Hoover, Eddie McFarlane, Matt Marsiglio, Vince Gillette, and Kurt Hudson, will attend the ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) CEO Symposium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
ASAE represents the premier source of learning, knowledge, and future-oriented research for association professionals. The ASAE CEO Symposium brings together association leaders to refine skills and share knowledge on fostering stronger collaboration and mission-driven leadership. The event offers invaluable insights into effective governance, strategic leadership, and best practices for association boards.
“At ACCA, we are constantly looking for ways to strengthen the way we operate,” said ACCA President and CEO Bart James. “The ASAE CEO Symposium provides board members and executive leaders with the tools to ensure we remain aligned in our governance practices while continuing to deliver value to the HVACR community.”
This will be the third cohort of ACCA’s volunteer contractor leaders that have gone through the ASAE CEO Symposium. Participation in the symposium is an important way that ACCA commits to leading the HVACR industry with a strong, professional governance structure. ACCA invests in this training to not only guide ACCA, but also to help train leaders that will in turn share their leadership experience and skills with ACCA’s Allied Contracting Organizations at the state and local levels.
ACCA’s leadership team will focus on enhancing decision-making processes and exploring new ways to engage members and partners effectively. The symposium also provides key opportunities to network with other association leaders, enabling ACCA’s board to exchange ideas and gather insights to shape the future direction of the organization.
“Our board represents the highest standards of professionalism in the HVACR industry,” said Martin Hoover, chair of the ACCA Board of Directors. “Participating in events like the ASAE CEO Symposium ensures that we operate with integrity and remain focused on elevating our industry through sound governance.”
By investing in leadership development for its volunteer leaders and working to embrace association best practices, ACCA continues to build on its reputation as a leader in the HVACR industry.
“It is our hope that the knowledge we gain at this symposium will empower us to serve our members even better and reinforce our commitment to supporting contractors and their teams,” Hoover said.
