Lanham, Md. – Sean Duffy, H&D Mechanical, was installed as the 2015 president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Metropolitan Washington (MCAMW) at their January monthly dinner meeting.
Sean Duffy and Erik Harley founded H&D Mechanical in 2009, a mid-size mechanical contractor based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. H&D has an established record of superior work in a variety of settings, including medical, scientific and commercial projects. Duffy received a bachelor’s of science degree from the Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1987. He completed his five-year Plumbers Union Apprenticeship program in 1991, graduating with Salutatorian honors.
Duffy has been an active member of the Mechanical Contractors Association for many years. He resides in Severna Park, Maryland with his wife, Debra, and their two children, Shane and Megan. The Mechanical Contractors Association of Metropolitan Washington is a 126 year-old organization composed of 75 union mechanical contractors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This association represents contractors in the D.C., Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland areas, and is a local affiliate of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), a major trade group in the United States that represents plumbing, heating, piping and air conditioning contractors.
