The mikeroweWORKS Foundation has announced it is giving away another $1 million in work ethic scholarships this year.

"Through this program, we recognize people who understand the importance of work ethic, personal responsibility, delayed gratification, and a positive attitude," the foundation's website states. "These are hardworking men and women who will keep the lights on, water running, and air flowing. These are people who show up early, stay late, and bust their asses day in and out. It’s not for everyone. Hard workers are hard to find, but we know you’re out there."

Those interested in applying for a scholarship must do the following:

  • Enroll in an approved trade program.
  • Sign and answer four questions about the S.W.E.A.T. Pledge.
  • Make a video.
  • Have two references from a teacher or boss.
  • Verify school costs.
  • Provide high school or college transcript.
  • Send most recent 1040 tax form.

The deadline to apply is April 12, 2023. Those interested in learning more and applying can do so at www.mikeroweworks.org/scholarship.
