IAPMO Cancels 2020 Annual Conference, Moves 2022 Event to Charlotte

IAPMO Cancels 2020 Annual Conference, Moves 2022 Event to Charlotte

In order to ensure the health and safety of prospective attendees, exhibitors, vendors and staff, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) has elected to cancel its 91st annual Education and Business Conference, postponing plans to host it this September in Charlotte, North Carolina. IAPMO will instead hold its 2022 conference in Charlotte.

IAPMO is in the midst of internal discussions on the educational aspect of the program to determine whether and in what method that education can be offered to members and the industry.

“Attempting to produce a networking event in the midst of a global pandemic, when we know we would be unable to ensure the safety of every attendee, goes against everything for which IAPMO and our members stand,” IAPMO President Straub said. “We will do everything within our capability to deliver the scheduled education on which our conference attendees rely for their knowledge and licensure needs.”

IAPMO appreciates patience and understanding as it works to serve its members and the industry within the limitations dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
