Coalition believes companies in Malaysia are buying unfinished pipe fittings from China, performing finishing operations in Malaysia and selling the fittings to U.S. customers as products of Malaysia.

The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Massachusetts Inc. has selected John Reyes, a senior in the plumbing program at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, Fitchburg, Mass., as its recipient of the All-Star Student Award for 2015-2016.

The award recognizes plumbing students nominated by their lead instructors from all vocational-technical plumbing programs throughout the state. Each honoree received a starter tool set and will have his or her picture, and accomplishments, published in the spring edition of the New England Progress Magazine.

John is ranked 25th in his class of 350 students, with a 3.66 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society and a cadet in the JROTC program. He has a co-op position with Millside Plumbing, and he plans to continue working there full time after graduation. He will also be working toward his plumbing license.
