The deadline to submit an abstract for the seventh biennial Emerging Water Technology Symposium (EWTS), to be held May 12-13, 2020, in San Antonio, has been extended to Friday, Nov. 29.

The association states that the proposed rule is "an important step forward," representing the first major overhaul of federal protections for lead in drinking water in two decades.

Each comment must include one recommendation of the following: accept as submitted, accept as modified, or reject.

Every year, in the United States, thousands of people suffer serious scald injuries in showers or tub-showers after the hot water system temperature has been adjusted. These injuries can be prevented with the proper controls and adjustments of the maximum temperature limit-stop on each shower valve.
