Nick Giuffre, retired Bradford White CEO and The Wholesaler’s 2018 Person of the Year, and his wife, Kathy Giuffre, have donated $1 million to the Springfield Area Education Foundation. With the donation, the Giuffres receive naming rights to two new facilities at Springfield High School in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

Nick and Kathy both attended Springfield High School in the 1970s. Nick's mother, Frances “Chickie” Giuffre, worked in the cafeteria for the Springfield School District for 39 years; and Kathy's mother, Katherine G. "Kay" Voglesong, drove Springfield's No. 7 bus from 1971 to 1994.

Nick and Kathy have named the two new facilities at Springfield High School in honor of the two women: the Frances “Chickie” Giuffre Dining Center Complex and the Katherine G. “Kay” Voglesong Bus Driver Commons Room.

More information about the donation can be found in the Giuffres' interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Wholesaler's recent profile on Nick Giuffre can be found here.
