If a hydrant is installed with the new Midwest Innovative Technologies Inc. (MITI) Wall Hydrant Made Easy (WHME), it can be replaced quickly and easily from outside the building. This eliminates a common problem with wall hydrants, as replacing them usually requires multiple entries into a crawlspace or basement, demolition of an interior wall or basement ceiling, and piping modifications. The WHME casing holds the water line securely in place and prevents torque from hydrant installation and removal from being transferred to the piping.

The WHME is compatible with 1⁄2-inch MIP wall hydrants of any length, and its adjustable mounting base allows for 1-inch of length variance between different brands and models. The mounting base also features slotted screw holes for fastening the hydrant. If the hydrant ever ruptures, the WHME casing will direct the water away from the building through its drain port, protecting the property against flooding and water damage.
