Two construction companies involved in a Bellevue, Wash., gas explosion last June that injured two plumbers at the jobsite have been cited for failing to take the proper steps to avoid a fire hazard.

BN Builders, lead contractor on the building, and MacDonald-Miller, the subcontractor that employed the two plumbers, have been cited with “serious” violations by the state Department of Labor & Industries and charged a total of $3,450.
