New Company Launches: Chicago Valves and Controls

Continuing a long family tradition begun by Alfy and Lil Nathan when they founded Sharon Piping in 1977, their son-in-law Alex Winkler, daughter Yael Winkler and grandson Carmel Winkler, have launched a new company, Chicago Valves and Controls, based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

“We offer a broad selection of industrial valves and control systems, but more importantly, we’ll be providing the same kind of personal attention and on-time delivery that Alfy and I became known for at Sharon Piping,” said Alex Winkler, president.

Chicago Valves and Controls has a product offering that includes the following kinds of valves: ball, butterfly, gate, globe and check. The entire line is available in a range of sizes and pressure ratings from vacuum to 6000 PSI. Alloys include carbon steel, stainless steel, Alloy 20, Hastelloy C, 254 SMO, monel and brass. All of the valves can be fitted with a variety of end connections to meet customers’ requests. In addition, the company offers excellent control systems including pneumatic actuators, electric actuators, limit switch boxes, solenoids and gear operators.

“As with the valve line I developed at Sharon, one of the cornerstones of the new company is providing custom-made valves and control solutions that are specifically tailored and designed to meet the demanding applications of our customers.” Winkler added.

“Of course, quality assurance and fast delivery is at the heart of the new company just like it was with everything Alfy did,” Winkler continued.

All products are manufactured to strict U.S. and international standards, are 100 percent tested before shipment and come with a two-year warranty on parts and workmanship. Plus, the fully stocked 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse allows for same day shipment for orders received by 4 p.m. CST.
