The press end connection options for 12 of the company’s lead-free backflow preventer models allow contractors to choose the press connection option on projects as an alternative to sweat/solder joints.  These new options are in addition to press end connections for ball valves, hydronic heating specialties, mixing valves, and water pressure-reducing valves.

Press technology provides a way to join copper tubing to brass and bronze valves efficiently. This allows installers to create a watertight seal that is strong, consistent, and reliable and avoid soldering issues such as fire, smoke, and the need for fire watches.
