California utilities look to restrict water hogs

The Times-Standard, a newspaper based in Eureka, Calif., reports that water utilities are considering attaching flow restrictors on the homes of water wasters as some agencies struggle to meet the state’s tough conservation laws.

The device attaches to water meters and greatly limits the amount of water that flows to the property from the water mains.
