Seeking room to expand, F.W. Webb Co. is planning to relocate a major Amherst, N.H.., distribution facility to Londonderry, N.H., – constructing a building that, at a million square feet, will become one of the largest structures in New Hampshire.

If all goes smoothly through company studies and town review processes, the company would begin site work in May and open in fall 2017, said Alicia Criniti, director of marketing.

The company’s Amherst facility is an estimated 400,000 square feet.

The company has undergone significant expansion over the past few years. Here's what its past two years have included:

  • September 2015: Began construction of a 35,000 square foot distribution center and showroom in Oakland, Maine.
  • June 2015 - Relocated Plattsburgh, N.Y. location into a new 33,000 square foot facility in the same town.
  • May 2015 - Acquired New Jersey-based Grant Supply.
  • November 2014 - Acquired Watertown, Mass.-based Watertown Supply.
  • May 2014 - Opened 64,000 square foot branch in Allentown, Pa.
  • January 2014 - Opened 40,000 square foot facility in Ballston Spa, N.Y.
