The Macomb Group will now operate 19 locations in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina.

The Macomb Group, Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., announces its acquisition of Mechanical Supply Co., a North Carolina-based distributor to commercial and industrial customers.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity in the southeast for a number of years and see Mechanical Supply as having many of the same qualities as our own organization – putting customers and service first,” said Bill McGivern, CEO of Macomb.

The Macomb Group will now operate 19 locations in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina.

“The Mechanical Supply Company and its 50-plus employees have a great reputation built on more than 30 years of serving North Carolina and surrounding markets,” said Keith Schatko, executive vice president of Macomb, “and we are looking forward to have them as the center of our southeastern regional presence.”

Scott Reid, co-founder and president of Mechanical Supply Company said: “From the first conversation, it seemed like a perfect match,” noting the numerous similarities between the two organizations.

“We’re excited to have joined The Macomb Group, and look forward to the enhanced sector expertise that we can continue to bring to our customers in areas such as automotive,” Reid added, “and power and energy as well as value added services in valve automation and instrumentation, fabrication, and many others.”

Mechanical Supply Co. will now operate as Mechanical Supply Company LLC, a member of The Macomb Group, Inc.
