Jim Nelson

Mid-City Supply, Elkhart, Ind., announces the retirement of Jim Nelson from his position as vice president of administration. Nelson has been with Mid-City Supply since 1966, an astounding 49 of the company’s 68 years in business.

Nelson started with Mid-City Supply in an entry-level role and worked his way throughout the company in a variety of positions. During his career, he obtained his Masters degree from Indiana University, which afforded him the opportunity to finally settle in to his current position, where he has been for more than two decades.

Outside of work Nelson continued to excel by becoming a United Way Ambassador and has done so for the last five years. Nelson has been instrumental in contributions to the organization and will be greatly missed.

Despite all of the planning, organizing and preparation that Nelson has put forth to ensure a smooth transition for his successor, he may have never really expected this day to come. His dedication to Mid-City Supply has contributed greatly to the success and growth that we’ve experienced over the years. His hard work and commitment has been valued and appreciated beyond words. Thank you Jim, we all wish you the best!
