The Master Group Inc. is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of The Hydronics Group Inc., Ontario distributor of heating parts & equipment. This transaction aims to strengthen Master’s position as a leader in the heating sector of Greater Metropolitan Toronto and Southwestern Ontario.

“We are proud of this strategic alliance, marking another important step in strengthening our presence in the territory. But even more, we are pleased to associate with the expertise of The Hydronics Group employees, known for their deep knowledge and skills in terms of brand and high quality equipment selection”, says Louis St-Laurent, President, The Master Group Inc. “Expertise and strong reputation have undoubtedly been major assets in the pursuit of our proposed acquisition. To all Hydronics Group employees, we extend a warmest welcome among our team and assure them that we will provide a new environment favorable to more exciting challenges.”

Tim Rickards, co-founder of The Hydronics Group, will remain in position and his role will be to facilitate the transition and to share his knowledge, especially in the field of hydronic heating, with customers and all employees as a technical sales representative. On the other hand, Rob Moroney, also co-founder, will continue on independent projects in the distribution of radiant heating equipments.

“We are happy to pass the torch to The Master Group, a company recognized for its healthy growth, leadership, expertise and its culture of respect and loyalty” said Tim Rickards, The Hydronics Group Inc. “I am particularly delighted to continue my career within the Master team and more than confident that all our employees and customers will benefit from this new alliance that will enable us all to increase the opportunities and to take our projects to a higher level.”
