Several team members from Danze and Gerber participated in the Race2Raise, including (from L-R) Lovin Saini, Shane Ouyang, Michael Werner, Victoria Stagg Elliott, Amanda Hanlon and Mike Wong.

Attendees for the upcoming ASA Network  2015 in Chicago, will have the opportunity to take part in a bicycling fundraiser for Operation: Rise & Conquer.

Participants will pledge $50 or more and have a chance to ride with hand-cyclist and veteran Sgt. Michael Frazier USMC (Ret.). Contributors of $250 or more, will receive an official Operation: Rise & Conquer cycling jersey.

There are three options to take part in the event:

  • Alpha Dog – 30-mile ride along Chicago’s lakefront with hand-cyclist and veteran Sgt. Michael Frazier USMC (Ret.).
  • Ranger – A less intense, 10-mile ride along Chicago’s lakefront. This will include a free Chicago Divvy bike rental.
  • Reserve – Don’t feel like riding? You can still make a contribution and receive an Operation: Rise & Conquer cycling jersey!

The event will be at the Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7 a.m. Registration and full event details here.

The mission of Operation Rise & Conquer, a program supporting the Adaptive Sports Center, is to empower, support and inspire wounded soldiers and veterans to regain confidence and trust in themselves and others. Sponsoring one veteran through the program is $3,000, which includes all transportation, housing, meals, activities, programs and equipment. Tailored to veterans recovering from physical and mental injuries, these activities support veterans in their daily lives and have a positive lasting effect on self-efficacy, health, independence and overall well-being.
