Central Supply Company (Indianapolis, IN) held its 29th annual Challenge Cup golf outing Aug.20th at the River Glen CC.
Traditionally this outing is highlighted by two items, the fierce competition between the Electrical & Plumbing contractors to have their name on the coveted trophy as the winning foursome and the 16oz New York Strips that are served for dinner.
This year had a new item of business introduced and it was a great success. Because of the gratefulness and appreciation that Central Supply has for our War Veterans and current Military personnel, they decided to have a fundraiser during the golf outing with all proceeds going to the Indy Honors Flight, this organization sends WWII Veterans to Washington DC to visit the WWII Monument as well as all other war monuments dedicated to the men and women who have served this great country. The organization does this with 100% donated funds and is absolutely free of charge to the Veteran.
Central Supply was very pleased to have raised $2,800 for this cause by doing a 50/50 drawing as well as a contest to hit the green on 2 par 3’s. The contractors were very generous with this cause.
The winner of the 50/50 was Kyle Trick of Trick Enterprises and upon receiving the cash of $760 he graciously turned right around and handed it to the Representative of the Indy Honors Flight team.
As far as the golf went, the plumbing group won this year’s event giving them an 18-11 lead in the series over the Electricians.
