Wayne, NJ – Haier America announces that the Air Quality technical team has been recognized for North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification. NATE is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians. Over 32,000 HVACR technicians are currently certified in various specialties, including air conditioning, air distribution, heat pumps, furnaces, hydronics, refrigeration and ground source heat pump installation. Haier America will now be able to give any contractor who is a NATE member 12 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
“We are pleased with the advancements that we’ve made with our HVAC Training Center,” said Gina Copeland, senior vice president of Air Quality, Haier America. “As Haier expands our air quality business in the U.S., our training center will be second to none as a resource for our customers.”
Haier service team members will be able to facilitate NATE exams at the HVAC Training Center in Wayne, NJ. NATE-certified technicians are preferred among consumers, require fewer callbacks, and generate more income for their employers, thus demonstrating greater value than non-certified technicians.
Additionally, Haier now offers Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 608 certification in Wayne through the ESCO Institute. ESCO Institute, a member of the ESCO Group, is the industry’s largest provider of EPA Section 608 certification testing. ESCO's materials are utilized within hundreds of schools, wholesalers and other training entities across the globe.
