Danfoss expands distribution of electric heating portfolio

May 7, 2015
Baltimore - Danfoss, a leading manufacturer of high efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and motion systems, is pleased to announce its partnership with three sales representative firms, which will help to expand distribution of the company’s electric heating products. Danfoss manufactures a comprehensive line of electric heating systems, including floor heating, snow melting, pipe tracing, and roof/gutter ice prevention cables, that provide a safe, easy, and energy-efficient heating solution for typical cold-weather challenges. “With recent winter seasons seeming to have greater impacts in North America, Danfoss is poised for growth with our portfolio of efficient and safe electric heating systems,” explains David Coy, national sales manager – electric heating solutions, Danfoss. “We are excited about these new representative partnerships and the value we believe they will have on the market.” Central, Southern Illinois & Eastern Missouri: Meglio & Associates Incorporated in 1978 in St. Louis, Mo., Meglio & Associates will now serve central and southern Illinois and eastern Missouri with Danfoss’ portfolio of electric heating products. The firm specializes in industrial and commercial electrical products and often offers product training seminars in their 12,000-square-foot building. The company is affiliated with associations such as the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA) and the Independent Electrical Contractors Association (IEC). “Danfoss’ portfolio of electric heating solutions fits our line card like a glove. Our agency is excited about the opportunity to represent another part of the Danfoss family,” says David Meglio, vice president of sales, Meglio & Associates. The firm also offers specialty lighting, wiring and cables, and electrical safety products. Virginia, Washington, DC, & Maryland: W.E. Sullivan Co. As one of the oldest sales representative firms on the East Coast, W.E. Sullivan Co. will now offer Danfoss’ electric heating portfolio in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Headquartered in Richmond, Va., W.E. Sullivan was founded in 1939 by William Eugene Sullivan Jr. Born in 1913, only 23 years after Nikola Tesla sold the patent rights for the alternating current method of distributing electricity, Sullivan grew up during the transition into the “Electric Age” and developed a passion for the electrical business. Today, the company is led by his son, Bruce, who is dedicated to keeping the firm focused on new and useful electrical products. “We feel that the breadth and quality of the Danfoss electric heating product line make it the superior manufacturer of heating products to represent”, says Bruce Sullivan, owner of W.E. Sullivan Co. Wisconsin & Upper Peninsula of Michigan: Bay Electrical Headquartered in Glendale, Wisc., with additional sales offices in Madison and Green Bay, Bay Electrical will now provide Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan with electric heating products from Danfoss. Bay Electrical delivers unparalleled support and expertise to the Midwest area and represents industry leaders that offer quality and innovative products.
