Gresham, Smith and Partners announces Bryan Tharpe, P.E., has been named division vice president of the firm’s Building Engineering division. In this role, Tharpe will be focused on providing efficiencies to our design approach and operational leadership for GS&P’s structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering disciplines.

Tharpe most recently managed GS&P’s Structural department where he focused on QA/QC, manpower assignments and deadline management. His more than 20 years of experience includes design and analysis of structural systems of all sizes and complexities, with a specialty in healthcare and aviation projects. Tharpe is a member of the Tennessee Structural Engineers Association and the American Institute of Steel Construction. He is active in his community and teaches a graduate-level course at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Tharpe earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
