Franklin Electric Co. has expanded its FVT Series vertical lineshaft turbine line with a new ductile iron cast discharge head engineered to withstand the demands of high-pressure environments. The addition demonstrates Franklin Electric’s continued investment in the application, manufacturing and support capabilities needed to help water professionals address demanding critical water infrastructure applications. The ductile iron discharge head is designed to absorb shock and flex under demanding operating conditions, helping the product perform in applications requiring 150# or 300# flange ratings. The material meets ASTM A536 standards for grade 65-45-12. The new configuration will be produced at Franklin Electric’s Abernathy, Texas facility, which offers vertical turbine manufacturing expertise and application-focused resources.
