SJE has hired Taylor Johnson as director of sales operations for its ECS Division, effective August 24, 2026.

This new hire supports the ECS Division’s continued focus on commercial excellence, operational discipline, and scalable growth across its regions and market segments.

In his new role, Taylor will lead the division’s commercial operating system. His responsibilities include sales process governance, forecasting accuracy, customer relationship management strategy, analytics, pricing discipline, commercial performance management and continuous process improvement.

“Taylor combines strong commercial leadership with a practical understanding of engineering, manufacturing and business systems,” said Andy Wilson, president of SJE’s ECS Division. “His experience connecting people, processes and technology will help us strengthen execution across the division and build the scalable commercial capabilities needed to support our continued growth.”

Taylor will work closely with SJE’s sales, finance, marketing, operations, customer service, engineering and product management teams to strengthen execution, increase commercial visibility and support sustainable business growth.

Taylor brings more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning commercial operations, sales engineering, business transformation, manufacturing operations and organizational leadership. His background includes aligning commercial strategy with operational execution, integrating business systems and developing scalable processes in highly engineered manufacturing environments.

Most recently, Taylor served as director of sales and design engineering at Southern Heat Exchanger Corporation, where he led commercial and engineering functions in a configured-to-order manufacturing environment. He integrated previously disconnected systems and processes into a unified operating model, strengthening collaboration among sales, engineering, and operations. He also led automation initiatives to increase engineering productivity and reduce throughput times.

Previously, as manager of sales engineering, Taylor led initiatives that increased quote capture, improved proposal accuracy and strengthened forecasting. He also developed estimating and proposal tools that improved efficiency, margin visibility and commercial decision-making.

He began his career with Southern Heat Exchanger Corporation as a sales engineer and later served as an area supervisor, gaining experience in customer engagement, applications engineering, production leadership and team development.

Taylor holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Alabama, and a certificate in business management from the University of Texas.
