Johnstone Supply Heartland Group (JSHG) has selected Augment as its AI partner. Part of the Johnstone Supply Group — a leading HVACR distributor with more than $4 billion in combined revenue — JSHG is deploying Augie, Augment’s flagship AI teammate, to automate sales order entry, enhance back-office operations, and accelerate its quote-to-cash process.

Where minutes decide the deal

Like many B2B distributors, JSHG’s sales reps often field RFQs with hundreds of line items that must be quoted and turned into orders quickly enough to win the business. Matching every purchase-order line to the right SKU in Epicor Eclipse, JSHG’s ERP, has traditionally been a manual process that can take hours.

Augie now works directly alongside JSHG’s team in Epicor Eclipse, beginning with sales order entry as the initial phase of a broader AI transformation. In just minutes, Augie matches purchase-order line items to SKUs using JSHG’s historical orders, product data, and other company-specific signals, then surfaces the best matches for reps to confirm.

“A critical part of serving our customers comes down to how fast we can turn a quote into an order,” said Josh O’Neill, chief financial officer at Johnstone Supply Heartland Group. “We needed an AI partner built for wholesale distribution that could help us serve customers better without using our proprietary data to train their models. Augment gives us the speed, industry expertise, and trust we need.”

What’s ahead

As the partnership matures, both teams see opportunities to extend Augie across the broader quote-to-cash lifecycle, including customer portal intake, takeoff processing, supplier management, and delivery coordination.

“Johnstone has built one of the most respected networks in HVACR distribution, and it’s an honor to help a company with that track record bring AI into its day-to-day operations,” said Alex Moazed, president of wholesale distribution at Augment. “This partnership reflects what we believe the future of enterprise AI should look like: purpose-built solutions that deliver value while respecting the proprietary data and business processes that make each distributor unique.”
