VPC Tanks, a subsidiary of VPC Global, has officially cut the ribbon and begun production of its underground septic, cisterns, and multi-use tanks, and vertical storage tanks at its new 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. This Rocky Mount, North Carolina, plant is crucial to the growth of VPC Tanks and its expansion into the East Coast.

In attendance at the grand opening event were the mayor of Rocky Mount, city council members, and county economic development teams, along with VPC Tanks and VPC Global’s executive team. Andrew Dervin, the CEO of VPC Global, told the gathering, “Rocky Mount is a great location for us. We’re able to ship from here to Florida, to New York, and as far west as Tennessee. So, we’re looking forward to growing here.”

During the event, the mayor of Rocky Mount, Sandy Roberson, echoed Mr. Dervin’s sentiments. “We are a vital, vital, vital intersection for interstate commerce. We are the hub of the spokes.” This was the main reason VPC Tanks decided on their Rocky Mount location. Centered along the east coast, with interstate routes running directly through it, Rocky Mount offers a transformative opportunity for VPC Tanks in their growing business.

The building at Rocky Mount had been abandoned since 2008 and VPC Tanks revitalization of the building has stirred excitement in the area. The city and county support was essential in driving the return of industry to their community. Bob Pike, the president of the Carolina Gateways Partnership, had this to say, “It’s a statement of renewal, resilience and hope – hope for the future. Today, we stand here witnessing something very, very powerful.”

With local teams in place and production now underway, all VPC Tanks products are being made at the new Rocky Mount facility and have already begun shipping to customers on the east coast.
