RenewAire,  a Waunakee, Wisconsin-based manufacturer of HVAC and indoor air quality (IAQ) products announced it received two 2025 New Product of the Year awards from the online publication, Environmental Protection.

RenewAire’s new HE05 energy recovery ventilator (ERV) and HE+DX Coil Integrated System won the two categories of Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy and Air Solutions, respectively.

The HE05 ERV was chosen as a sustainable, high-performance IAQ solution for multi-family, dormitories, retail, salon, assisted living and mixed-use applications. The HE05’s slim, low-profile 12.1-inch-high cabinet and compact footprint fits easily into T-bar ceilings, crawl spaces, attics and other cramped areas that standard sized ERVs can’t accommodate. Like all RenewAire ERVs, the HE05 is AHRI 1060-certified.

The HE+DX Coil Integrated System offers a streamlined alternative to the costs of dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) for schools, college campuses, offices, high rises and multi-family housing. The design enables contractors to add a duct-mounted DX cooling coil to a standard ERV, such as RenewAire’s commercial HE07 (166-694 CFM) and HE10 (250-1,100 CFM) models. Adding the HE+DX as a retrofit or new construction specification provides full DOAS functionality to an ERV, but at half the price. It also enables engineers to specify smaller primary HVAC equipment due to cooling load reduction benefits.

The Environmental Protection award program identifies the best available options for meeting modern regulatory compliance and sustainability goals, according to David Kopf, publisher. For 16 years, this award program has recognized achievements by manufacturers in 11 categories that make the work of environmental professionals more efficient and productive.
