Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, a leading privately held U.S. manufacturer, is announcing an update to its corporate structure to align with an expanding business portfolio. As part of this alignment, Neenah Foundry, which Charlotte Pipe acquired in 2022, will transition from a wholly owned subsidiary to a featured product-line brand within the organization.

Under the updated structure, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry will serve as the primary enterprise over three commercial divisions: Plumbing, Irrigation, and Infrastructure. The newly established Infrastructure Division includes branded products from Neenah Foundry, US Foundry, and Bingham & Taylor.

Neenah plants in Neenah, Wisconsin, and Medley, Florida, will continue to operate as they do today. There are no facility or workforce announcements associated with this realignment.

“Charlotte Pipe and Neenah Foundry have both laid strong foundations,” said Hooper Hardison, CEO of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry. “Both companies have been in operation for more than a century — 125 years for Charlotte Pipe and 150 years for Neenah. We are excited about linking our expertise, resources, and people to build an even more strategic company. Over the next year, alignment will take place across HR, IT, and finance operations to better support the updated commercial structure.”

“Our infrastructure products are the backbone of America, delivering water, energy, transportation, and advanced engineered solutions,” said Vik Bhatia, president and CEO of Neenah Foundry. “By officially bringing Neenah Foundry under the Charlotte Pipe’s Infrastructure Division, we are forging the next chapter of our company, strengthening our foundation, accelerating our momentum, and reinforcing our commitment to delivering infrastructure solutions to communities for generations to come.”

Founded in 1901, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a privately held manufacturer best known as a leading producer of cast iron and plastic pipe and fittings for plumbing applications. Headquartered in Charlotte, the company operates eight manufacturing plants across the United States and serves Plumbing, Irrigation, and Infrastructure Markets.

In recent years, Charlotte Pipe has expanded its portfolio through strategic acquisitions, including Neenah Enterprises (2022) and Bingham & Taylor (2025), broadening its reach into municipal castings, waterworks, utilities, and engineered infrastructure products. Together, these brands offer more than 450 years of experience and expertise, thus strengthening Charlotte Pipe’s legacy while expanding its ability to serve critical infrastructure markets both nationally and internationally.
