Milwaukee Tool has been named a finalist for the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award in the Mega Category (1,000+ employees). For 37 consecutive years, Baker Tilly, Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) have presented the awards to honor manufacturers for their contributions to Wisconsin’s economic growth and the vibrancy of the state’s manufacturing industry.
“This recognition reflects the hard work, passion, and dedication our Wisconsin manufacturing teams demonstrate every day,” said Shane Moll, group president of Milwaukee Tool. “Their commitment to bringing new, innovative solutions to our users and distribution partners fuels our continued growth. It’s their dedication that truly sets us apart.”
Milwaukee Tool’s Wisconsin manufacturing footprint spans over 231,000 square feet across three specialized facilities. Each is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety, and plays a distinct role in bringing user-driven innovation to life for the professional trades.
The company’s facility in Mukwonago produces hard hats and helmets from raw material to finished product, and is equipped with custom, in house UV digital printing capabilities to meet growing demand for personalized PPE. The West Bend facility uses advanced press forging and laser hardening technologies to manufacture high performance pliers and screwdrivers. And, in Sun Prairie, Milwaukee engineers and manufactures power tool accessories designed with progressive heat treat processes and precision geometries. Together, these three facilities play a critical role in delivering high quality and high-performance solutions for professional tradespeople around the world.
Headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Milwaukee Tool employs more than 4,500 people across the state. Since 2020, the company has invested more than $117.5 million in Wisconsin to expand its manufacturing capabilities and create new opportunities across the state.
“Milwaukee Tool fosters Wisconsin’s long-standing, proud tradition of manufacturing excellence,” Moll continued. “Our trajectory is fueled by two forces: Our culture and our people. Together, they enable us to innovate faster, invest in Wisconsin, and continue disrupting our industry.”
Milwaukee Tool’s commitment to their culture and people has also recently been recognized nationally by Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest platforms for workplace insights. The company earned three notable awards celebrating the leadership and employee experience: #6 on the list of Best-Led Companies of 2025, #51 on the 2026 Best Places to Work in the U.S., and #11 on the 2026 Best Places to Work in Manufacturing and Energy.
