Industry professionals from around the world will gather in Las Vegas for the 2026 International Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Exposition (AHR Expo), taking place from February 2-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The convention, co-sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), runs concurrently with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

During the expo, attendees can explore the latest HVACR innovations, products and technologies from more than 1,878 manufacturers and suppliers and speak directly with them on the showroom floor. Manufacturers will showcase products in the following categories: heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, indoor air quality, building automation and control, sustainable solutions, software, and tools and instruments.

A key component of the AHR Expo is its education program, which includes free industry seminars, panel discussions, new product and technology theater presentations, and for-credit courses for professional development hours.

This year’s panel discussions will include the 2026 State of the Industry session; “Data Center Demands: Cooling Solutions, BMS Advancement and the Next Generation of HVAC;” and “Heat Pumps: Scaling for Commercial and Residential Markets.”

Free industry seminars for contractors, engineers and distribution/supply chain professionals also are available — from 20-minute product demonstrations in the New Product Theaters to one-to-two hour classroom sessions. These include “Cooling Towers to Community Assets: Geo Strategies for Decarbonization,” “AI + Building 2026: Redefining Autonomy from People to Portfolios,” and “Connected and Secure: Building BAS Across Legacy, Hybrid, and Cloud Networks.”

During the ASHRAE Conference, more than 100 technical sessions are available, and are all approved for continuing education credits toward maintaining professional engineering licensure.

Workforce development

A key component of the AHR Expo gives back to the community through its annual Workforce Development program. This year, AHR is working with Clark County Public Schools – Central Technical Training Academy.

Workforce Development program sponsors are supporting the overall program by helping transport the students to the show and providing equipment and other resources to their lab. In addition, a team of ambassadors will host students on the showroom floor, and the AHR team will provide students with a few curated experiences on the show floor, including a panel discussion focusing on life-long career opportunities within HVACR.

Additionally, AHR is once again working with ASHRAE to host a group of college-level engineering students.

These programs are subsidized by industry sponsors and funds collected from Innovation Award entry fees.

2026 Innovation Award winners

Every year, the AHR Expo features 10 winners from its annual AHR Expo Innovation Awards, which represent some of the most innovative products and technologies currently available. A panel of judges from ASHRAE rated the entries based on overall innovative design, creativity of the product or service offered, product or technology real-world application, and overall potential market impact.

During the show, one overall 2026 Product of the Year winner will be announced from the following category winners:

Building Automation: Connected Solutions by Honeywell

Honeywell’s Connected Solutions suite offers building owners and service providers with cloud-based tools for remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, energy optimization and asset lifecycle management. These applications streamline operations, reduce costs and enhance sustainability, all through a unified, intuitive platform that transforms traditional building management into a connected, data-driven experience.

Cooling: Magnitude WME-C Quad by Daikin Applied Americas

Magnitude WME-C Quad is the first dual circuit series counterflow chiller that delivers up to 3,000 tons of capacity using Daikin’s magnetic bearing compressor technology. With four compressors, Daikin’s WME oil-free magnetic bearing technology and mission-critical features, such as RideThrough and RapidRestore, offer part-load efficiency, reliability and uptime.

Heating: Heating-optimized modulating vapor injection portfolio by Copeland

Copeland’s heating-optimized modulating vapor injection portfolio combines two-stage, tandem and variable-speed compression platforms with enhanced vapor injection technologies to deliver maximum flexibility, scalability and performance in achieving the capacity and efficiency requirements of next-generation commercial heat pumps for hot air and water applications.

Indoor Air Quality: Airest by Sharp Corp.

Airest is the world’s first mini-split heat pump with built-in MERV 14 certified filters. It captures more than 99.9% of dust before it enters the unit. With an airflow reach of 43 feet, the heat pump cools, heats and purifies the air simultaneously, all made possible by its engineered internal structure.

Plumbing: LeakStop III by IDC Fluid Control

LeakStop III is a fully automated water leak detection system for homes and small commercial buildings. The system is built to alarm in the event of a leak. When water flow is continuous and exceeds a programmable, preset maximum value, the system automatically shuts down.

Refrigeration: Transcritical CO2 scroll compressor with dynamic vapor injection technology by Copeland

The Copeland transcritical carbon dioxide scroll compressor features dynamic vapor injection technology, enhancing efficiency and simplifying design for refrigeration system designs and applications in North America. It offers  simplicity, scalability and sustainability for small-footprint, distributed CO2 refrigeration.

Software: Rebar by Rebar

Rebar is the first AI-powered takeoff platform built for HVAC. It reads construction plans, identifies mechanical pages, marks equipment and generates accurate takeoffs in minutes — cutting hours of manual work. Purpose-built by industry experts, Rebar helps reps move faster, win more jobs and streamline the entire sales process.

Sustainable Solutions: BF-DOAS by Blue Frontier

Blue Frontier’s technology for cooling and dehumidification is an evolution away from refrigerants and the vapor-compression cycle. It’s 300% more efficient than current technologies, contains a dispatchable thermal storage battery and can independently control dry bulb and dew point.
