Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-MI-12) recently visited Golden Refrigerant, an EPA-certified refrigerant reclaimer in Livonia, Michigan. The visit was hosted by Golden Refrigerant’s leadership team, who shared insights into the company’s advanced refrigerant reclamation processes and the role they play in achieving the goals of the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act.
During the visit, Rep. Tlaib toured the facility and learned how the company successfully reclaims used refrigerants through a rigorous EPA-compliant process certified by independent laboratories.
“We were honored to welcome Congresswoman Tlaib to our facility,” said Golden Refrigerant’s President Carl Grolle. “Golden Refrigerant is proud to showcase how our work supports one of the most sustainable practices in the HVACR industry, since refrigerants can be reused indefinitely with the right systems in place.”
Rep. Tlaib’s visit follows HARDI’s Congressional Fly-In, held earlier this year in Washington, D.C., where Golden Refrigerant met with lawmakers to discuss the importance of refrigerant management and how the HVACR industry is supporting the AIM Act. The Fly-In and Congresswoman Tlaib’s visit reflect growing awareness and engagement among policymakers on the environmental and economic benefits of refrigerant reclamation.
U.S. Congresswoman Tlaib represents Michigan’s 12th Congressional District and has been a vocal advocate for environmental justice and sustainability practices.
