On May 6, IPEX celebrated the grand opening of its new 150,00-square-foot distribution center (DC), representing a more than $27 million investment in the company’s supply chain network.
Located in Woodstock, Ontario, the facility includes traditional warehousing operations as well as a cross-docking function, enabling faster, and more efficient movement of goods to its distribution centers across eastern Canada and the United States.
The DC is built to scale, increasing IPEX’s capacity to better serve the growing needs of its customers. The facility also features a pedestrian-free design, reducing the risk of accidents and improving operational efficiency by allowing quicker, uninterrupted movement of goods.
“Our new DC represents another step forward in how we serve our customers,” said Travis Lutes, president and chief operating officer at IPEX. “By combining scale, speed, and safety, we’re delivering in a way that allows us to provide better service today, with room to grow for tomorrow.”
