NTI Boilers, part of Ariston Group, announced it has promoted Steve Wieland to director of national accounts, where his priority will be working with national accounts and buying groups and new business development. 

Wieland previously served as NTI’s Mid-Atlantic sales manager, where he worked with manufacturers’ representatives and wholesalers to expand NTI’s market share while generating new business opportunities. He also established and directed training programs to help contractors with technical support and troubleshooting.

“I’m excited about the new position and looking forward to new challenges,’’ Wieland said. “I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge about NTI, taking it national and working with existing and future national accounts.”

Wieland, who joined NTI in 2011, has more than four decades of experience in the heating and hydronics industry. He has devoted much of his time to education and training, and hosts weekly webinars, called “Knowledge Thursday,” which help contractors and installers learn about hydronics products and proper techniques and servicing.

 “I enjoy the education aspect, and as I’ve seen in the field, 85 percent of problems are the result of improper installation,’’ Wieland said. “If we train contractors so that we will have fewer problems, that will benefit the entire industry.”
