The recent staging of VALVE WORLD EXPO 2024, 14th International Valve Trade Fair & Conference, showcased all the technological innovations the industrial fittings sector has to offer in the areas of sustainability, digitalization, automation and standardization for three days in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event offered news, trends, networking opportunities and technological solutions as well as conferences, forums and digital trails leading to sustainability pioneers in the exhibition halls and to interesting potential employers for young professionals. A special highlight was the presentation of the Valve Stars Awards.
The positive atmosphere at VALVE WORLD EXPO was characterized by the high internationality and quality of the exhibitors, the complete coverage of the market and the focus on sustainable technologies. Visitors spend more time at the trade show: an average of two days gathering information in the exhibition halls. A total of 572 exhibitors from 35 countries showcased intelligent valve systems, automated solutions and innovative materials aimed at improving performance and efficiency in the process industry on around 16,000 square meters of exhibit space.
“VALVE WORLD EXPO 2024 has confirmed its role as a global impulse generator and leading platform of the industry as a whole. We are extremely satisfied with how dynamic and inspiring the event was,” stated Daniel Ryfisch, Director wire, Tube & Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.
Sustainability is a major topic in this sector. With digital ecoMetals-trails, visitors were able to learn how the companies take into account resource savings, energy efficiency and emission reductions in their manufacturing processes and products. These aspects are of increasing importance in the chemical, petrochemical and gas industries as well as in the water and waste-water sectors. The High Potential Days, a dedicated program for exhibitors to recruit skilled workers and young talent, met with great interest. They provided exhibitors with an ideal platform for introducing themselves to potential young talent through targeted activities.
“VALVE WORLD EXPO is considered one of the key trade fairs for exchanging with business partners by the valve industry,” emphasized Oliver Baumann, Manager Corporate Communication at AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG. For AUMA as an actuator manufacturer, this year's VALVE WORLD once again offers a very good opportunity for networking and presenting the company. “We present our products and services ‘hands-on’, reach out to our business partners and make new contacts.” According to Bauman, face-to-face exchange is very valuable, and “we make intensive use of this opportunity.”
“VALVE WORLD is our core trade fair,” explained Klaus Scholl of bar GmbH. It offers a very important platform to discuss with partners, customers, interested parties and competitors the current requirements and future market developments in personal conversations. “bar has received a great customer feedback on our new product updates and our energy-saving system met with especially strong interest,” reported Product Line Leader Automation Klaus Scholl. In addition, they had very good conversations with decision-makers and concluded another partnership agreement. bar GmbH celebrates its 45th anniversary this year and has a very successful history in valve automation.
The renowned Valve World Conference took place concurrently with the trade fair, attracting around 400 delegates. Here, key topics such as digitalization, safety and new materials were discussed in specialist presentations, workshops and panel discussions. In addition, the Valve World Expo Forum stage provided space for innovation slots and the presentation of the Valve Stars Awards in the four categories Valves, Actuators, Seals and Automation presented by Vulkan publishing house.
VALVE WORLD EXPO once again confirmed that it is an indispensable event for decision-makers, buyers, manufacturers and users from all over the world. Trade visitors were primarily interested in valves, valve components and parts, actuators and positioners as well as pumps and compressors.
In addition to top decision-makers from the core European target countries Italy, Great Britain, France, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Turkey,Spain, Scandinavia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland as well as from Egypt, the organizers registered more trade visitors from India, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Canada, Japan, South Korea, China, the UAE and South Africa.
