Leonard Valve Co. Megatron Goes Green

July 22, 2022
Leonard Valve Co. Megatron Goes Green

In keeping with its tradition of being 'the right mix of safety and performance,' Leonard Valve Co. is proud to announce that it is now using a more environmentally-safe pump in its Megatron water-management solutions system. Starting in August 2022, the Taco 0034e Plus will come standard on all new Megatrons.

By instituting the use of the Taco 0034e Plus brushless, electrically commutated motor-powered circulator pump into its plug-and-play workhorse, Leonard Valve has reengineered the Megatron into an environmentally-friendly standout in the field of commercial plumbing. Offering new-and-improved product features to expand the lifetime of the product — such as a special barrier to resist corrosive, pump-killing black iron oxide, and the ability to monitor for air and dirt in the lines — Leonard Valve is leading the way into a more sustainable future.

The incorporation of the Taco 0034e Plus pump also offers a wider range of usage, with five modes of operation: constant speed, constant pressure, proportional pressure, external 0–10V BMS-type control inputs and activeADAPT, for different building scenarios. Plus, with a universal supply voltage, there is no need for a different pump for DC 110/208/230V; this powerhouse can handle both AC and DC currents while operating cooler and quieter, with a larger starting torque, than similar AC-motor pumps.

To learn more about the new and improved Megatron, contact a local Leonard Valve Sales Rep, or visit the company at the 2022 ASPE Expo in Indianapolis, Sept. 19-20, Booth #806.
