WAGS Valve by Aquaguard made a Rare Disease donation of $2,100 to Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) this April, matching donors who had joined the company in its support of the nonprofit organization. 

"Thanks to all who donated, and a special heartfelt thanks from Jean who is living with FA along with her beautiful support dog, Wendy!" said WAGS in an email announcement. 

FARA is dedicated to the pursuit of scientific research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). FA is a debilitating, life-shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. About one in 50,000 people in the United States have FA.
