Josam PRO-PLUS Trench Drain System

The Josam Co. PRO-PLUS trench drain is a unique SMC/GRP material manufactured using glass-fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) pressed from sheet molding compound (SMC), which is a composite of polyester resin, mineral fillers and glass-fiber mats. Its compressive, flexural, and tensile strength is unmatched and the unique properties allow for less thermal expansion than polymer concrete, polypropylene or high-density polyethylene. The PRO-PLUS system has the ability to withstand extreme hot or cold weather conditions and high fluid temperatures preventing shape distortion before and after the concrete pour. This trench drain is 1.5 times stronger, 70 percent lighter in weight, and 1.7 times less thermal expansion than polymer concrete. It is available with/without slope, with a variety of grating options such as the PRO-SNAP grate securing system with no bolts, and is suitable for load classes A-F.

Josam’s PRO-PLUS channels are now made in the United States with enhanced features and benefits. Now along with its high quality and unmatched strength, the PRO-PLUS features rebar supports molded into the channels, eliminating chance for channel floating during concrete pour and with pre-installed securing screws, saving time during installations. The channels also feature bottom outlets located at every 19.7 inches, allowing for greater layout flexibility and less wasted material. GRP grate options were also included to offer a complete SMC/GRP drainage system. Additional enhancements include adding locking-bar slots in neutral channels for when DI Frames are specified.
