MCA Chicago names Jill Eckert McCall as executive vice president

Jill Eckert McCall

Jill Eckert McCall was recently named executive vice president of the Chicago Mechanical Contractors Association, replacing long-time Executive Vice President Stephen Lamb. MCA members include 79 of Chicago’s premier mechanical contractors, who provide piping and HVAC services throughout Chicago market. The association provides education, lobbying and networking opportunities to members.

McCall hails from the American Bar Association and has served on multiple association governing boards.

After completing her BS, JD and MBA in just six years, McCall committed to a career path of association management in 2010 by earning her Certified Association Executive designation. Through the years, she has co-authored, contributed to, and edited books and articles, and made presentations to association and business leaders.

McCall began her tenure at the ABA as a career counselor for lawyers and law students. During the past decade, she served as the organization’s staff lead for various entities: continuing education/program accreditation, law practice/technology, and emerging professionals.

“I knew that MCA is a premier local organization, and seeing that the MCA’s Master Initiatives match some of my own interests made the position really interesting to me,” McCall said. “Increasing education on technology, encouraging the engagement of our younger emerging leaders, and bringing all of our members together through committees are necessary to maintain a viable position of leadership in the industry.”

Lamb will leave the MCA July 1 to launch a consulting practice in the contracting industry.

“I look forward to working with Jill for the next few months as I prepare to move into the next phase of my career,” Lamb said. “She is a bright young talent with the energy this industry needs to continue moving forward.”

Lamb has served as vice president of the MCA Chicago since 1994. During his time leading the MCA, Lamb was responsible for creating the Construction Education Institute, helped defeat reinstatement of the Structural Work Act, worked with the national MCAA to implement a best practices program and served as a trustee of the $1.2 billion LU 597 Pension Fund, as well as the Welfare and Training Funds.
