NAW Institute to Host Free Webinar: “A Distributor’s Innovation Roadmap to Success in the New Digital Normal”

June 24, 2020
AIM/R Announces COVID-19 Tool Kit and Webinar Series

Wholesaler-distributors are invited to join the NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence and its sponsor, PROS, on Thursday, July 16, from 2–3 p.m. EDT, for a live webinar: “A Distributor’s Innovation Roadmap to Success in the New Digital Normal.”

Those interested in attending should register online. Those who cannot attend the live webinar should register as well; PROS will send registrants a link to view the webinar on demand.

Distributors have made progress in navigating through this unprecedented disruption, but much more is needed. In this live webinar, the NAW Institute will follow up with Michael DeCata, president and CEO of Lawson Products, to hear how he is navigating through COVID-19 and how it has accelerated his plans around innovation. Drawing on the research behind NAW's best-seller, "Innovate to Dominate: The 12th Edition in the Facing the Forces of Change Series," its author, Mark Dancer, and Richard Blatcher of PROS will join DeCata in exploring how distributors must implement an “innovation ecosystem” to compete in the new normal.

Key points to be covered in this webinar include the following:

  • Distributors that have already enabled digital transformation will be better off in the long run.
  • Digital commerce is here to stay, but an omnichannel strategy is critical to business success.
  • Sales teams are seeing a shift from outside sales to inside sales, self-service and digitalization.
  • AI has a critical role to play in a post COVID-19 world.
  • Distributors must focus on a seamless digital customer experience.
  • Now is the time to innovate business operating models.
