ANAB Accepting Nominations to Serve on Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee

The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is accepting nominations from interested persons to serve on its Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC). Nominations must be received by Jan. 31, 2022.

The PCAC Nominations Committee seeks national experts with broad experience in the fields of personnel certification, accreditation, and policy development related to credentials. Although all individuals with relative experience/knowledge are welcome to apply, strong preference will be given to individuals with a background in the following areas:

  • Psychometrics
  • Post-secondary education
  • Government

Members are appointed to a three-year term. Specific duties of committee membership include: providing recommendations to policies and procedures for the ANAB Personnel Certification Accreditation Program, determining the accreditation status of certification bodies that have applied for initial accreditation or are undergoing their annual surveillance accreditation process, and providing input and advice to ANAB staff regarding operational issues.

Members attend quarterly one-day meetings each year and serve on sub-committees and review panels as appointed by the PCAC chair. Travel for the quarterly meetings may be required. More information on PCAC is provided in the Operating Procedure for Credentialing Accreditation Committees.

Nomination Process

To self-nominate, please provide the following:

  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Cover letter that includes:
    • A statement of your willingness to serve
    • A description of your relevant experiences and expertise
    • An acknowledgement that ANAB does not reimburse for expenses and costs associated with travel for meeting attendance

To nominate another individual, please provide the following:

  • Nominee's resume or curriculum vitae
  • Letter of endorsement for the nominee
  • Current contact information for nominee. ANAB staff may then contact nominee for a letter that includes:
    • A statement of nominee’s willingness to serve
    • A description of nominee’s relevant experiences and expertise
    • An acknowledgement that ANAB does not reimburse for expenses and costs associated with travel for meeting attendance

Questions and submissions may be directed to Katherine Krehbiel, ANAB credentialing accreditation manager, at kkrehbiel@anab.org.
