The Wholesaler, a business-to-business (B2B) magazine for plumbing wholesalers and distributors, is no stranger to milestones. The magazine leads in reporting on plumbing, heating, cooling and piping (PHCP) milestones. This year, the spotlight will be faced inward as The Wholesaler celebrates its 75th anniversary.
PHCPPros - formerly TMB Publishing - acquired The Wholesaler in 1993. However, the magazine was founded in 1945. Today, the magazine is the official publication of the PVF Roundtable, a leading organization of companies in the pipe, valve and fitting (PVF) industry.
“The Wholesaler has a long-standing reputation as the best media resource for connecting manufacturers to key decision makers. We are proud to have 70 percent of market share,” noted Dave Schulte, publisher of The Wholesaler.
A recent internal survey revealed that 89 percent of The Wholesaler readers have purchased or stocked a product as a result of an ad in the magazine.
“The Wholesaler magazine’s ability to reach the right customers in order to get our message across has been impressive. The Wholesaler magazine team, from sales to production, has been a pleasure to work with. All in all, a great experience,” said Michael Pinet, director of Marketing and Retail Sales at OS&B.
The editorial excellence of The Wholesaler is maintained by editor, Ruth Mitchell. Mitchell has represented and supported PHCP wholesalers and manufacturers for more than 20 years. Mitchell earned her bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
To celebrate this milestone year, Mitchell and her team will develop special editorial spotlights and features. A commemorative anniversary issue of the magazine will be released in October and spotlighted at that month’s PVF Roundtable meeting. Additionally, the PHCPPros marketing team will also be launching commemorative digital campaigns.
