In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of non-essential businesses for a minimum of two weeks (starting March 17). U.S. Boiler Co. is designated as an essential business and will remain open during this time.

For the safety and well-being of its employees and community, the company has implemented a series of procedures and guidelines that allow it to provide continuing service to its customers while simultaneously safeguarding its employees and families. U.S. Boiler Co.’s entire team is committed to safely providing its customers with quality heating products and comprehensive support. The company is monitoring all recommendations from the CDC and WHO and is implementing its internal procedures based upon those recommendations.

"Every day our equipment, both residential and commercial, is used in life sustaining activities; be it heating a residential home or multi-family apartment building, to providing heat, hot water and process steam to hospitals, pharmaceutical plants, or any number of food processing plants across the country,” said Chris Drew, president and chief operating officer for Burnham Holdings Inc. “What we do is critically important to the health, safety and well-being of the citizens of our nation.

“The COVID-19 threat is an event, not a systemic failure of the economy. The next several months, as the U.S. economy contracts, things will be difficult on everyone. Yet, we fully expect demand to rebound in the second half of the year.”

U.S. Boiler Co. has postponed all non-essential visits to its facilities and is transitioning a number of its employees to work-from-home offices. The company will continue to take phone calls via remote technologies, will continue to accept and enter orders, and plans to ship boilers and parts to warehouses wherever and whenever possible.

Additional operational details include the following:

  • Approximately 80 individuals are working from home on a full- or part-time basis across all operations.
  • Safety and health of on-site production employees is paramount; in accordance with OSHA recommendations, an aggressive social distancing policy is in effect at all facilities at all times.
  • Staggered shifts, break and departure times, and new expansive cleaning protocols have been initiated.
U.S. Boiler Co. would like to thank all for their continued support of the company and its Burnham brand boilers. The company will continue to be here for all of its stakeholders.
