HARDI Releases Comprehensive 2021 State of the Channel Report

Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) has released its 2021 State of the Channel Report providing a comprehensive look at “Industry Benchmarks” and details on “What’s Next” for the HVACR wholesale channel.

The report is the culmination of a year’s worth of research by the HARDI Market Intelligence team and a handful of industry experts to evaluate wholesale distribution’s and the total HVACR market’s performance and identify opportunities for distributors going forward.

“I’m thrilled with the finished version of this year’s report, and I believe all of our members will find great value in it,” said Tim Fisher, team leader of Market Intelligence, HARDI. “There’s something in the report for everyone, with topics ranging from the growing role of private equity in the industry to the evolution of heating fuels used in residential and commercial buildings.”

“Nowhere else will you find such a comprehensive review of the HVACR channel’s performance complete with extensive customer research for all end-markets,” added Talbot Gee, CEO, HARDI. “I couldn’t be more proud of our Market Intelligence and Policy teams for creating this tremendous planning and evaluation tool for our members and partners.”

For the 2021 report, HARDI brings back the Industry Outlook, Industry Benchmarks, Voice of Contractor and Voice of Supplier portions with an analysis of changes from 2020 and 2021.

New this year is a deeper analysis of the HVACR Commercial Market Outlook, including the Refrigeration sector, and an expanded look at how D.C. regulations are impacting the industry.
