HARDI to Host Live Webinar on Controls Research Findings

Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) will be hosting a live webinar, in partnership with MaxIt LLC, demonstrating their HVACR Controls research and findings, relating to the broader channel. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. EST.

HARDI has partnered with Ron Mackiewicz of MaxIt LLC to better understand HVACR distributors who work with controls. Mackiewicz is a 45-year veteran of the HVACR industry. The project evaluates the unique aspects of controls distribution and how it relates to the broader wholesale channel.

In the webinar presentation, Mackiewicz will share his research and focus on the following:

  • Quantifying wholesale distribution's share of the controls business to provide a baseline
  • Defining distributors who sell controls and how they are changing
  • Understanding the trends driving vendor and customer decisions
  • Looking for potential common issues with other HVACR distribution

"This project is long overdue, and an example of the research HARDI is committed to doing so our channel can rise above anecdotes and potentially extinct perceptions about which markets are growing and shrinking, and how those markets are being served," said HARDI CEO Talbot Gee. "The controls segment has experienced massive changes over the last ten years, and projects like these will help ensure that the distribution channel keeps its eyes forward on where the segment's future may lie."

This webinar will pave the way for a controls focused session at HARDI's annual conference in December. The webinar is open to anyone in the HVACR industry who would like to learn more about controls distribution. It is free for HARDI members and $200 for non-members.

To sign up for the live webinar, visit the HARDI website. For questions and more information, contact Sarah Jilbert at sjilbert@hardinet.org
