Lewis S. Boyce Sr., heating, boiler industry expert, dies at 71

September 23, 2015
Lewis S. Boyce Sr.

The Oil & Energy Service Professionals Association sent an e-mail this morning with news of the passing of Lewis S. Boyce Sr. Here’s what we could find from his obit:

Lewis S. Boyce Sr., 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Oct. 17, 1943, in Waterbury, Lewis served in the U.S. Navy and worked for Scovill Manufacturing Co. and Anchor Fasteners in Waterbury. Later, he became an expert in the heating and boiler industry, attending numerous trade shows and writing articles on behalf of QHT and Biasi Boilers.

Lewis, married to his wife, Florence (his high school sweetheart), for 49 years, leaves behind three children, Michelle, Lewis and Melissa Boyce; six grandchildren, Kaleigh, Gabriel, Sarah, Lewie, Brooklynn and Lillian; and his great-grandson, Elijah.

A fun-loving, gentle-hearted soul, Lewis made friends wherever he went and cherished spending time with his family. His interests are too many to list, but he'll be most remembered for his joy of reading, meditating and writing his own book.
