ABQ Health Partners recently announced its partnership with the “Family Care with a little TLC” clinic, for TLC Plumbing & Utility, a contractor with locations in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Socorro, N.M.
The location offers acute illness visits, injury treatment, preventative care and other minor medical services to the mechanical contractor’s more than 450 employees, their spouses, and dependents.
TLC believes that the services at the clinic have been earned through the employee’s dedication, commitment, and hard work; TLC provided health insurance is not a requirement to be seen at the Family Care clinic. The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For nearly 30 years, locally owned and operated TLC has provided top quality plumbing, heating, cooling, construction and utility service throughout New Mexico. Like many independent businesses, TLC continuously seeks ways to improve its employees quality of life while providing excellent benefits and maintaining productivity. “We count respect and compassion among our core values, and keeping our TLC family healthy is a big part of that commitment,” TLC Founder Dale Armstrong said. “We believe the wide range of care available from ABQ Health Partners and the “Family Care with a little TLC” clinic, will attract and retain the kind of honest, hard-working people that have made us successful for the three decades.”
Dedicated employer-maintained health clinics are a growing trend as employers seek innovative benefits to attract and keep
quality workers. By partnering with quality providers, companies often are able to lower their employee health care costs – an important consideration when in today’s competitive marketplace. Companies also see their investment in health care facilities as a way to increase productivity. Shorter wait times, before- and after-work appointments and one-stop convenience help workers get better care sooner, and back to work quicker.
